This notice explains what keykem.com and the client and partner spaces store on your device, and why. By default we use only what the site needs to work. The one optional cookie is the partner referral cookie, and we set it only if you agree.
1. In short
- We use no advertising, social media or tracking cookies.
- We count visits without cookies, and without storing your IP address.
- The cookies that keep you signed in and remember your choices are strictly necessary, so they need no consent.
- The partner referral cookie is optional. We set it only if you say yes. If you say no, the partner can still be credited through their code.
- You can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (also called local storage) does the same job, on your device. The same rules apply to both, so this notice covers both.
All our cookies are first-party: our own sites set them, never another company. [to confirm once the bot-check provider is chosen]
5. Counting visits without cookies
To learn which pages are useful, we count visits with our own tool, hosted in the EU. When a page opens, the tool adds to daily totals of four things: the page, the site you came from, your country, and your type of device.
- Nothing is stored on your device: no cookie, no browser storage.
- We do not store your IP address or any identifier, so visits cannot be linked together or traced to you.
- We do not share these numbers with anyone, or combine them with other data.
- We filter out known bots.
This meets the conditions the Italian data protection authority sets for measuring a site's audience without consent. [to confirm by counsel]
6. Other things your browser loads
Our pages load their fonts from [web font provider and country]. To send a font, that provider receives your IP address and browser details, as any web server does. It sets no cookies on our pages. [to confirm]
We load no maps, videos, social media buttons or advertising pixels from other companies. [to confirm against the final build]
When you pay, you do so on Stripe's secure payment page. Stripe uses its own cookies there to prevent fraud, under its own cookie policy.
7. Your choices
- You can change your mind at any time in Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it.
- If you withdraw it, we delete the referral cookie.
- We keep your choice for 6 months, then ask again. We also ask again if our cookies change.
- Your browser also lets you delete and block cookies. If you block the strictly necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in.
8. Sites we build for our clients
Each client's site has its own cookie notice, published by that business.
By default, the sites we build use only strictly necessary cookies, and count visits the same way keykem.com does, without cookies. If a business adds a third-party tool that needs consent, its site asks you first. Where a country's rules require consent even for counting visits without cookies, the site asks for it.
9. The rules we follow, and changes
We follow the EU ePrivacy rules as applied in Italy (Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code), and the Italian data protection authority's cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021.
For visitors in Morocco, we follow the CNDP's rules on cookies. Our declaration receipt number is [CNDP cookie declaration receipt number].
Our privacy notice covers everything else about your personal data. For questions, write to [privacy email address].
We update this notice whenever our cookies change. Last updated [date].
This is a working draft to be reviewed by an Italian lawyer and a Moroccan lawyer before launch.
